Mammoth Cave Romance

Mammoth Cave Romance was written by William Lee Popham and published in 1911. Written in a Victorian Style, it was one of a series of seven books in which he referred to as his ?Seven Wonders of the World (American).? Originally hardback bound, it sold for $1.00. The original books are quite rare due to a warehouse fire in Louisville, KY, which reportedly destroyed $10,000 worth of inventory. Great care has been given to reproduce the reprint as close as possible to the original. The front cover was retouched to produce the original design, except for the addition of the year 1911. The reprint is done in softback, in order to make the book more affordable. The covers? ink color is matched as close as possible to the original hardback cloth covering. All inside pages are exact reproductions from the original pages which were printed by letterpress using lead type, a printing method commonly used in 1911.The reprint edition was printed on an offset press.
